Cheyenne 48, Silverado 28-- At Silverado, David Peeples ran for 177 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries as the Desert Shields defeated the Skyhawks.
Peeples scored on runs of 64, 30 and 15 yards.
The Desert Shields built a 27-point lead before the Skyhawks scored three quick touchdowns to pull within six points in the second half.
Silverado's Nicholas McCombs, who completed 12 of 20 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns, threw an 80-yard touchdown pass to Spencer Armstrong to start the fourth quarter. Roy Oliver then recovered the onside kick for Silverado, and McCombs hit Benjamin Valenzuela for a 25-yard touchdown.
Later, the Skyhawks' Dominic Cammarata scored on a 3-yard run to pull Silverado within six.
But Peeples returned the ensuing kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown giving as Cheyenne regained control.

Desert Pines 29, Green Valley 12 -- At Desert Pines, Cornell Johnson ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns to lead third-ranked Desert Pines past Green Valley. The Jaguars (9-1) took an early lead when Mike Washington intercepted a Jesse McCulloch pass and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown two minutes into the game. After Johnson scored on runs of 20 and 2 yards, the Gators' Anthony Scott caught an 18-yard TD pass from Jesse McCulloch just before halftime to make it 23-6. With Desert Pines punting into the wind, Green Valley (3-7) started its first two possessions of the second half at the Jaguars' 20 and 21. But Desert Pines stopped the Gators on fourth-and-goal from the 1 on the first possession. Green Valley's Fabian King scored on a 3-yard run on the next possession.

Durango 54, Sierra Vista 0 -- At Sierra Vista, ninth-ranked Durango scored touchdowns on seven of its first eight possessions, including all five in the first half, to spoil the Lions' first senior night.
The Trailblazers (6-3, 4-1) used a balanced running attack and a stifling defense to outgain Sierra Vista (3-6, 1-4) 513 yards to 43.
Durango's running game was led by Ahmad Atkins, who had 133 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
Trailblazers quarterback J.R. Thomas completed 4 of 7 passes for 133 yards, including a 62-yard TD pass to Isaiah Whigham. Thomas scored on runs of 3, 12 and 25 yards.
Durango also scored on a 44-yard run by LaBroi Walton and a 4-yard run by Kyle McFadden.

The Trailblazers' Armando Buckley scored on runs of 6, 12 and 26 yards. Durango's Allen McIntyre led the balanced rushing attack, carrying nine times for 95 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown after a Chargers turnover. Clark turned the ball over four times, leading to 21 Durango points. Chargers quarterback Joshua Tuitele connected with Dwayne Davison on a 50-yard touchdown pass, but also threw two interceptions before leaving midway in the third quarter with an injury. Second-string quarterback Michael Chavez completed 5 of 11 passes for 141 yards and two touchdowns, a 58-yarder to Davison and a 15-yarder to Mike Philogene. It was Faith Lutheran's first victory over The Meadows since 1994. Nixon scored on runs of 5, 37 and 25 yards, and Jason Case completed 8 of 14 passes for 122 yards and a touchdown. The Crusaders' Marcus Odor intercepted Jordan Kelley's first pass and returned it 32 yards to start the scoring. • Silverado 45, Basic 23 -- At Basic, after falling behind the Wolves (0-9, 0-3) 15-0 in the first quarter, the Skyhawks (5-4, 3-1) unleashed their one-two running attack of Larry Patterson and Marvin Reddick to capture the second seed in the Sunset Division.
In the second quarter Patterson broke loose for 102 yards on three carries and two touchdowns, and Reddick had 55 yards and a touchdown.
The second half was more of the same, with Patterson breaking loose for a 37-yard touchdown run on the second play from scrimmage. Reddick punched in another touchdown on the Skyhawks' next possession. Patterson finished with 174 yards, Reddick with 141.
The Silverado defense tormented Basic quarterback Chris Montano, sacking him five times and letting him scramble for only 25 yards on 20 carries. Montano also had to cover a bad snap in the end zone late in the fourth quarter for a safety.
Basic finished the season winless after capturing their division title just a year ago.

The Meadows 37, Needles (Calif.) 0 -- At The Meadows, the Mustangs (6-0, 2-0 2A Southern League) used a devastating ground game and dominating defense to claim their 35th straight victory, one victory shy of tying the state record. The Meadows jumped out to a 34-0 halftime lead, led by senior Pat Curran's 162 yards and two touchdowns, all in the first half. Marcel Demaree scored two touchdowns.

• Virgin Valley 35, Coronado 13 -- At Coronado, the Bulldogs used a balanced offense and strong defense to jump out to a three touchdown lead at halftime.
Josiah Jensen rushed for 141 yards and Eddie Shaner threw for 106 yards to lead Virgin Valley (4-1).
