Desert Pines 29, Green Valley 12
-- At Desert Pines, Cornell Johnson ran for 148 yards and three touchdowns to lead third-ranked Desert Pines past Green Valley. The Jaguars (9-1) took an early lead when Mike Washington intercepted a Jesse McCulloch pass and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown two minutes into the game. After Johnson scored on runs of 20 and 2 yards, the Gators' Anthony Scott caught an 18-yard TD pass from Jesse McCulloch just before halftime to make it 23-6. With Desert Pines punting into the wind, Green Valley (3-7) started its first two possessions of the second half at the Jaguars' 20 and 21. But Desert Pines stopped the Gators on fourth-and-goal from the 1 on the first possession. Green Valley's Fabian King scored on a 3-yard run on the next possession.

Durango 54, Sierra Vista 0
-- At Sierra Vista, ninth-ranked Durango scored touchdowns on seven of its first eight possessions, including all five in the first half, to spoil the Lions' first senior night.
The Trailblazers (6-3, 4-1) used a balanced running attack and a stifling defense to outgain Sierra Vista (3-6, 1-4) 513 yards to 43.
Durango's running game was led by Ahmad Atkins, who had 133 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
Trailblazers quarterback J.R. Thomas completed 4 of 7 passes for 133 yards, including a 62-yard TD pass to Isaiah Whigham. Thomas scored on runs of 3, 12 and 25 yards.
Durango also scored on a 44-yard run by LaBroi Walton and a 4-yard run by Kyle McFadden.
